SUBJECT: University Real Estate Restructuring
Effective January 4, 2016 the offices of Centennial Campus Development and University Real Estate (formerly under the Treasurer’s Office) have been joined together as University Real Estate Operations.
These two real estate offices are currently staffed at two different locations with three functional areas of responsibility: Centennial Campus, University (and Associated Entities) Real Estate, and Property Management of facilities on Centennial Campus. This restructuring will unify the real estate operations of the University into one office. Our goal is to improve customer service, response time, and operating efficiency for the combined functions while providing one place for campus users to interface with the university’s real estate experts.
The Office of Finance and Administration is launching a national search for a new position of Associate Vice Chancellor for University Real Estate Operations. Until a permanent appointment is made, Steven Arndt, who is currently serving as Acting Associate Vice Chancellor for Centennial Campus Development Office, will be named as Interim Associate Vice Chancellor for University Real Estate Operations.
We look forward to more streamlined operations as we complete this restructuring, including co-locating the offices, during the next 90 days. Key personnel will remain the same and continue to provide coverage for the same functional areas until further notice. Please contact Steven Arndt with any questions at avc-realestate@ncsu.edu.
