SUBJECT: UNC System Employee Engagement Survey
DATE: January 24, 2018
In a few weeks, the University of North Carolina system will launch a system-wide employee engagement survey. The survey will occur annually over the next five years. This is a significant new endeavor both for NC State and for the UNC system, and is being implemented as part of the UNC system’s Higher Expectations 2017-2022 strategic plan.
UNC General Administration Human Resources has provided a document (https://hr.ncsu.edu/employee-engagement-survey/faqs/) with key points to communicate with your management teams. Please review these points carefully and share them with your teams to ensure that all managers accurately and consistently communicate about the survey with NC State faculty and staff. The document explains the goals of the survey, how it will be administered and why it is important for faculty and staff to participate. Participation is voluntary but employees should be given the opportunity to complete the survey at work.
The survey will be distributed the week of Jan. 29 with responses due by Feb. 12. The survey will take about 20 minutes to complete.
If you have general questions about the survey initiative, contact Marie Williams, associate vice chancellor for human resources, at firstname.lastname@example.org. For technical issues, contact Dr. Nancy Whelchel, director of survey research, at email@example.com.
Thank you for supporting this important initiative.
